Global confectioner Ferrero uses around 180,000 tonnes of palm oil each year, sourced from suppliers in Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. The company became an Earthworm Foundation member in November 2013 and launched its palm oil charter at the same time.
Thanks to collaboration with Earthworm Foundation, Ferrero now has full traceability of its supply of its supply chain based on segregated certified oil, but is pushing beyond certification in its work with Earthworm Foundation.
