A webinar about opportunities in the coconut supply chain
A webinar about opportunities in the coconut supply chain
News Nov 11, 2020

On Nov. 10, we hosted the latest of our webinars, this time focusing on the coconut supply chain. According to research, the coconut industry's worth could rise from about $13 billion in 2019 to $31 billion in 2024. This increasing demand is largely due to the commodity's popularity with health-conscious consumers, as well as consumer goods companies marketing coconut products as healthy options. But what are the opportunities in coconut? And how can we prevent the myriad of environmental and social problems that come with its production? We tackled these questions in the webinar, with presentations from Leonie Brühlmann, Managing Director, Lindt Cocoa Foundation, Ralph Erdmann from Pro Fair Trade, and Yulia Hardini and Gerome Tokpa from Earthworm Foundation.
