Intro

Honest Foods S.A.C. was founded in 2022. Due to their knowledge in the avocado industry and other fruits, its shareholders are fully aware of the challenges the world faces. Its purpose is to make a difference by managing sustainable practices, especially regarding its raw materials.

Earthworm Foundation is currently working with Honest Foods S.A.C. on implementing a pilot phase of a responsible sourcing program with avocado smallholders from Santa and Casma provinces, Ancash region.

Peru is a second-world exporter of fresh avocados. In 2021, the Ancash region was the fifth producer of Hass avocado and Casma the main province. During the first year of membership, the work will focus on implementing a responsible sourcing program with a pilot group of smallholders from Santa and Casma provinces. The work with mango, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and ginger will be explored from the 2024 membership action.
