As of January 2019, The Forest Trust has become Earthworm Foundation.

SEATTLE, WA, 6 MAY 2015: We are pleased to announce that Colgate-Palmolive has become a TFT member. As a leading manufacturer of household, healthcare and personal products, Colgate-Palmolive uses palm oil, palm kernel oil and palm derivatives in many of its products, sourcing from a supply chain that is international and complex. Colgate is committed to working to build a transparent global supply chain that meets the following criteria:

  • No deforestation of High Carbon Stock (HCS)
  • No deforestation of High Conservation Value (HCV) areas
  • No use of fire for land clearance
  • No new development on Peatlands, regardless of depth
  • No exploitation of people or local communities

“TFT welcomes Colgate-Palmolive’s membership. Over the last five years, we have worked with many of the leading players in the palm oil industry, working together to encourage industry transformation and protecting irreplaceable forests around the world,” said TFT Director Robin Barr.

“Companies who work with TFT commit to long-term transformation that includes taking on the toughest challenges in supply chains and demonstrating how to implement responsible management practices where they are most needed. We are pleased to announce that Colgate-Palmolive is embarking on this journey of continuous improvement with us.”
