Our customers, large multinational companies sourcing many commodities, want to know how much their supply chains are linked to deforestation and how to transform them to deforestation-free.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Analyse the information you have produced to explain major trends and support the elaboration of recommendations guiding companies to transform their supply chains;
  • Summarize data insights on the shape of reports to provide a compelling story on the impact of deforestation on our customers’ supply chains, related to various agricultural commodities (e.g. palm oil, soy, cocoa);
  • Collaborate with your colleagues in Malaysia, Indonesia, Ecuador, Ghana and Switzerland to complete the reports, and provide further data analysis as needed;
  • Stay on the lookout for ways to improve our internal processes and how we work together;

Your Profile

You are passionate about using data to support the transformation of supply chains toward regenerative and sustainable practices. Your genuine interest about forest, agriculture, family farming, and social education is a great asset for you to integrate your work into Earthworm Foundations’ purpose.

Thanks to your analytical and detail-oriented mindset, combined with a deep sense of quality outputs you enjoy manipulating large and sometimes complex data sets. Experienced in databases and familiar with producing state-of-the-art, impactful and easy to read reports using PowerPoint or Tableau, you are able to work under minimal supervision. You will be responsible for the traceability activities of a range of customers, which will require you to show a solution-oriented mindset and a pragmatic and can-do attitude. Proactive, with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, you have a demonstrated ability to meet established objectives in a timely and efficient manner.

Being a good communicator, you are naturally at ease working with multi-cultural and interdepartmental teams in a dynamic organization and also committed to blend into the local team where you will be based to nurture the relationship with your coworkers. Curiosity towards the work of your colleagues and understanding of the interconnectedness of your respective scopes of work will be key component of your success in this role. You also can navigate through difficult situation with diplomacy and leadership, both with internal and external stakeholders. You have a constructive approach toward problems and do not shy out of challenging conversations which makes you a respected and valued partner.

Working Conditions

  • Degree or more in relevant field preferable
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Full-time role, to start as soon as possible
  • Fluent in English & Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Based in Quito (Ecuador)
  • Citizenship or valid work authorization in the country
