Earthworm is seeking a motivated Project Officer. The position is initially based in Jodhpur and maybe switched to other Indian locations as per the organization’s need and work.

• Assessing Legality, traceability, social accountability and sustainability of various commodities like (Wood, Palm oil, Cotton, Leather and other key natural commodities);
• Conducting traceability visits at various nodes of factories i.e., manufacturing/seasoning vendors, traders, sawmill and farmers;
• Conducting and coordinating traceability and social assessments at various factories of various commodities and nodes involved in the supply chain;
• Provide recommendations and suggestions to sites and build their capacity to implement them;
• Compilation of reports and data management;
• Providing support and participation in different EF work related webinars to gather the market information and current status;
• Assistance in scoping and research of new products, Conducting risk assessments and document reviews;
• Participation in new initiatives as and when entrusted with by the management;
• Timely execute assigned tasks, members KPIs, Earthworm KPIs and provide field, desk, research.

• Masters of wood science, forestry, environment and forest management and allied sciences;
• Minimum 0-2 years of experience;
• Experience in carrying out any type of audit is a plus;
• Passion towards contributing to the benefit of the environment and responsible supply chains of Natural commodities is a must;
• Ability to communicate well in English both oral & written from farmers to the boardroom;
• Understanding of ethical issues in the supply chain;
• Ability to travel for work for multiple visits;
• Required knowledge about computers, MS office and other app-based technologies;
• Understanding of Chain of Custody or timber tracking and traceability of various commodities will be an asset;
• Technological knowledge of traceability, GIS and mobile apps are plus.

Language skills:

• Fluent in English and Hindi (spoken and written);
• Fluency in any other Indian language will be added as an additional quality.

• Passion for working on issues related to traceability, resilience, and supply chains;
• Good understanding and a keen interest in environmental and social issues.
