Impact Data Manager & Solution Architect - Ecuador, Malaysia or Indonesia

Your job

Impact Data Management & Improvement:

  • Monitoring and Evaluation system: Work closely with the newly established Monitoring & Evaluation team, the Thematic teams and the field teams to understand their work, build on the existing Global Impact Framework Tool, maintain and improve a system to measure Earthworm’s impact on people and the environment
  • Data Structure & Management: Own, maintain, review & improve the structure of different files and processes, methodology documents & rulebooks.
  • Data quality control: Define, review and implement data quality standards.
  • Data management – external stakeholders: Participate in the process of maintaining and updating data in Starling. Collaborate to the improvement and further development of the Starling Web Portal, with the ultimate goal to constantly better answer customer needs.
  • Database management: Contribute to the design and maintenance of Earthworm Supply Chain teams’ database.

New Product Development & Support

  • Provide feasibility advice and support new business development opportunities where required, by liaising with the Business Development Team.
  • Support the creation of new data solutions for new commodities.
  • Support Earthworm colleagues in creating new products or services (both internal and external).
  • Customer care, customer management: Support the colleagues who are in direct contact with a customer on providing ongoing support for Starling users on their journey to understand the data and how to use it.
  • Lead the design and implementation of improved customer dashboards to better visualize their data in a central location and better guide their actions with regards to responsible sourcing.

Support & collaborate with the country team where the position will be based (may vary from one country to another)

  • Support the country team by exploring new data driven solutions to challenges they face in the data collection / management
  • Support the country team with analysis of data in order to be able to make data-driven decisions.

Your profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management, Supply Chains, Environmental Science, or any other analytical domain
  • Experience : 3-5 years
  • Contract : Open-ended
  • Location: Ecuador, Malaysia or Indonesia
  • Language: English

Work Experience & Profile

  • Able to understand and interpret large, complex, often incomplete and unclean datasets and turn them into a story
  • Ability to think creatively and build user-friendly templates, tools, dashboards and presentations
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented, proactive mindset and the willingness to learn
  • Experience with working across multiple cultures & time zones

Technical skills

  • Demonstrated Advanced Excel skills, including VBA
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in a data visualization software like Tableau, Power BI
  • Knowledge and experience of Python and SQL are a plus

Language skills

  • Fluency in English (written & spoken);
  • Fluency in the National language in the country
  • Spanish and French a plus.

Working conditions / Physical effort

  • Office-based position (part time home office possible)
  • Some travel to company offices specially the field offices
