The VT-TV approach focuses on bringing transformation to product supply chains. The first step is V for Values – the question is does the company we are working with want to be associated with deforestation and exploitation? The answer is no, and these values can be translated into new company policy. The second step is T for Transparency – how well is the company implementing its values within its supply chain? Supply chain mapping is required. The third step is Transformation – which involves engaging with people within the supply chain to support them to change. Step four is Verification – what’s necessary is getting people out into the field to carry out independent verification to see how well company is performing in implementing its policy.
