A 10-day training for palm oil industry members took place in Cameroon focused on mediation and community engagement

Since January 2019, TFT has become Earthworm Foundation.

Earlier this year palm oil industry members and civil society representatives came from across Africa to take part in field trips and training sessions in Cameroon. The interactive sessions focussed on conflict mediation and community engagement.

The session was led by TFT’s Centre of Social Excellence which takes participants on a journey with the ultimate aim of turning conflict into collaboration, allowing industry to work for the good of people and the environment.

“What I learned is that it’s of the utmost importance to listen to communities… and also that every situation is unique,” said one participant at the end of the course. Find out how the CSE works in the short video below.
